Joanna Barrett is an experienced yoga teacher, mindfulness guide, and licensed mental health therapist devoted to helping others live with greater presence, purpose, and peace.

With more than a thousand hours of yoga training and two decades of experience in emotional wellness, Joanna blends ancient wisdom with modern psychology to create spaces where healing feels both grounded and sacred. Her approach weaves trauma-informed yoga, somatic awareness, and compassionate inquiry, guiding students and clients to reconnect with the steadiness and wisdom already within.

Joanna first turned to yoga during a time of deep anxiety and disconnection, searching for steadiness she couldn’t find anywhere else. What began as a simple practice of breath and movement became a path of emotional healing and self-trust, one that eventually shaped her heart’s work. Yoga helped her remember what it means to come home to herself, and she now shares that same possibility of healing and liberation with others.

Through her offerings, spanning Yoga for Emotional Wellness programs, public classes, online courses, retreats, and professional mentoring, Joanna invites others to experience yoga as a path to emotional freedom and spiritual growth. She believes yoga is a journey of remembrance, helping us return to who we truly are beneath the noise of daily life.

When she isn’t teaching, Joanna can often be found spending time with her loved ones and her dog, writing as a form of creative expression, or dreaming up new ways to share yoga’s timeless teachings in the modern world.
